This these was decided upon to be an empowering call-to-action, urging personal commitment, and the power of action taken now to have a positive impact on the future.<\/p>\n<p>This event was a global day which WPA supported with the purpose of highlighting the celebration of the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. This event featured subject matter experts engaging with and educating community leaders on the importance of women\u2019s health during the COVID-19 pandemic and Cancer.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this community engagement event was to ensure that women are offered opportunities, a conducive environment, effective policies, tools and skills to empower them to stand up to the challenges they face and make informed decisions about their healthcare.
