World Patients Alliance and Global Health Council Partner to Strengthen Patient-Centered Global Health Advocacy
The WPA is pleased to announce a formal partnership with the Global Health Council (GHC), a leading USA based not for profit organization dedicated to convening stakeholders and advancing sound global health policies worldwide. This collaboration has been established through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking an important milestone in strengthening patient-centered advocacy and global health collaboration.
The Global Health Council, headquartered in Washington, DC, brings extensive experience in global health policy, advocacy, and multilateral engagement. As an organization in official relations with the World Health Organization (WHO) and accredited with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), GHC provides a powerful platform for advancing inclusive global health dialogue. WPA and GHC share a common vision of elevating patient voices and ensuring that health policies reflect the needs and lived experiences of patients worldwide.
Through this partnership, both organizations will engage as reciprocal members, enabling close collaboration across advocacy roundtables, global health security discussions, maternal and child health initiatives, non-communicable diseases, and health systems strengthening efforts. The collaboration also facilitates joint participation in WHO, UN, and World Health Assembly (WHA) activities, alongside shared access to research, policy forums, and high-level global health convenings.
