WPA CEO Hussain Jafri Joins WHO Civil Society Commission Steering Committee
The World Patients Alliance (WPA) is pleased to announce that its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Hussain Jafri, has been selected as a member of the World Health Organization (WHO) Civil Society Commission (CSO) Steering Committee. This marks an important milestone in strengthening the global voice of patients within international health governance.
The WHO Civil Society Commission is established to facilitate structured engagement between civil society organizations and the WHO, ensuring that the perspectives of communities and stakeholders are integrated into global health policy. The Steering Committee, comprised of representatives, plays a pivotal role in guiding the Commission’s work, setting priorities, and ensuring accountability in advancing WHO’s mission in collaboration with civil society.
